A Bittersweet Goodbye (for now): Brownsville’s Sr. Paralegal Heads to Law School

One of the greatest privileges of practicing law in a small town is getting to know the people who make our community so special.

Today, we have some bittersweet news to share with you, friends.

Our beloved Senior Paralegal, Sam, will be leaving Danielle M. Myers Law to begin an exciting new chapter at Willamette University College of Law. While it is difficult to imagine our office without her, we could not be more proud of this incredible milestone.

Many of you know Sam from her work here in the office, where she has guided clients with patience, kindness, and professionalism. Whether she was answering questions, guiding families through the estate planning process with grace, or assisting clients during difficult legal matters, she treated every person who walked through our doors with compassion and respect.

What many people may not realize is that Sam's commitment to serving others extends far beyond our office.

For years, she has quietly dedicated countless hours to making Brownsville a better place. She has volunteered with Sharing Hands, supported Safe Haven, introduced “Scams With Sam” to help protect our seniors, advocated for children through CASA, helped create memorable Trick-or-Treat Street events for local families, and opened both her home and her heart to countless rescued and fostered cats and other animals. Last fall, Sam even saved a mama vulture after she found her perched on our fence looking ill. Those who know Sam know that if someone needed help, whether it had two legs or four, she rarely hesitated to step in.

Her generosity, humility, and servant's heart have touched more lives than she will probably ever know.

Although we will miss her every day, this is certainly not goodbye. Brownsville has a way of bringing people back together, and we know Sam will be back to visit often. We fully expect her to stop in to share stories from law school and continue being part of our extended office family.

While this farewell marks the end of one chapter, it also marks the beginning of another, not only for Sam but for our office as well. The Law Office of Danielle M. Myers continues to grow, and we have several exciting announcements that we cannot wait to share with you over the coming weeks. We have been working hard behind the scenes, and we think you are going to like what is coming next.

So, while we say, "See you soon," to Sam, we also look forward to sharing the future of our growing practice with all of you.
